It's turkey season.

That's not some clever title I came up with, it really is turkey season. As in, hunting. How do I know this? Because some crazy turkey flew up at our car. How did I know it was a turkey? Because last week I took Lilly to the zoo where we saw a turkey, enabling me to quickly identify said crazy huge bird that flew up across our car. We almost hit it and smashed in our windshield, but we didn't. Crazy, crazy 20-40lb turkey.

Jim's co-worker hit two turkeys. Not at once, but two separate times. They ate the second one and said it was good. Crazy turkeys.

Apparently the turkeys are always around but it is mating season and they are being hunted which I guess just makes them extra crazy.

Our neighbors also have hit a few turkeys, but they hunt them and eat them too, so they don't mind as much.

For the record I would not eat a turkey I hit with my car. I don't think I can eat turkey anymore, period.

Almost May??

How is it almost May 2009? I still feel like we barely got out of 2008.

We were out of town for a bit, then came back to town, bought a house, and then left town some more. To say the least it has been insane. I haven't checked blogs in weeks. Apparently you have all been blogging while I was away because I have over 150 unread blog posts on my google reader.

Life moves forward so fast. We are moving again for the third time in one calendar year. This time it will be for awhile because it's our first house!

I get to see my sister and nephew in May and then we move in June. Seems like things just keep chugging along. Look at what amazing treat she is bringing for my Lilly.

It is 91 degrees today, I hope spring comes back, because it wasn't really here to begin with.

Lack of inspiration....still.

I am still undergoing a lack of inspiration in my life, however, the cooking one is on it's way back to normal.

In other news. we're buying a house and we're going to start a garden. I went to a gardening seminar on Friday night and I had to put my hand in dirt to plant a seed. I didn't like it at all. I got dirt in my fingernails and it was gross. So gardening might not be my hobby of choice, but I am going to buy some gloves and give it a try.

Since we're moving for the third time in one calendar year, I am starting the de-cluttering process again. However, I need to be more careful with my work. Lilly went through the trash and started pulling things out telling me they were not trash. Specifically a broken hair band and a crumpled Valentine card that I found under her bed. She then pulled out a catalog and told me it was not trash because it had lots of pictures in it. Silly me.

As the weather gradually warms up, maybe my inspiration will come back and I will have more to say.
