Annual Strawberry Picking

This year was the coldest day we have ever had for strawberry picking.  It was very nice to not be sweltering in the heat.  Even Jack helped pick this year, despite his disdain for berries and fruit in general. We had friends help pick for us since they were moving.  We ended up with 13 lbs and 9 quarts of berries. That's a LOT of strawberries.

Talent Show 2014

Lilly and her friend, Leah, choreographed a dance to "Let It Go." By the time these girls went on they were the 6th group to perform "Let It Go."  You can hear the groans in the beginning but the girls received lots of applause for their dance and matching outfits.

Last day of school

June 13th was the last day of second grade for my Lilly girl.  Also the last day at the Danville Primary School. Next year she moves on to Liberty Valley, which is for 3-5 graders. It is also about 20 minutes from my house. Like the end of every school year I am pretty saddened by all the change that's always happening. I am trying to keep that in check and be excited for Lilly to move onward.

My camera was broken on the last day of school so all pictures were taken with my phone.

Lucy started walking on the last day of school (June 13).  The change in view from crawling to walking has altered her personality.  She currently asks for anything she wants by screeching as loud as she can.  Looking forward to some words in her life to help decrease the constant screeching, she is still a doll baby.

Montreal

We accompanied Jim on a business trip to Montreal in June. We all had a great time.

On the way to Canada...

Jack was exhausted by the time we made it to the hotel.

At the Basilica of Notre Dame in Montreal.

Exploring Montreal.

Montreal turned their former olympic park into a series of museums that we enjoyed while visiting.

We loved Montreal!

Grandma Russell

My Grandma Russell died unexpectedly (to me) the morning of the hail storm. The week prior to that was the week of my concussion. It was a difficult time. Thanks to the generosity of my mom and Scott, I was able to travel with my mother to her funeral.

Here I am with my great aunt Elizabeth, my grandmother's sister.

Above, my mom with her siblings, below my mom with Oliver, Dantzel, and me.

Friends

Our best friends who have lived in Danville with us for the past 5 years just moved on to Colorado. We had a big going away picnic for them and our other good friends who also left us and moved on to new ventures.

Carpool moms and good friends, Erin, me, Tina.

Lucy had a gaggle of girls following her around at the picnic.

Lilly (8) and Alysson (9)

Best buddies. Alysson 9, Lilly 8, Carson 6, Jack 4

EXTENSIVE phone update

My camera fell from my lap, protected in the camera bag in another bag, to the floor at Lilly's gymnastics show.  It was such a short drop that I didn't even think it damaged my camera. Sadly it crushed my super awesome lens and broke the body of the camera.  I have since had the camera body repaired but the lens is another story.  My camera just doesn't work as well as it once did, and now it just brings me sadness.  As a result my life has been documented with my phone. Thank goodness for phone cameras. Although I'm starting to worry that I take TOO many pictures.

Commence Phone Update:

1. Jack in his crazy outfit.
2. The kids at Lilly's school Easter party
3. Lucy sick and miserable
4. Easter Sunday on my phone

5. Lilly at her guitar lesson
6. Jack sporting his faux-hawk that he is newly obsessed with.
7. Lilly and Jack on a wood llama on the opening day of Knoebels.
8. Lilly and I playing dress up and giving each other make-overs.
