Jack's preschool Christmas party
Ms. Debbie threw a party for the family members in another room while the kids had their own party.
Then they pretended to be toys asleep and woke up because they heard Santa outside!
You never saw anything happier than a room full of preschool children welcoming Santa into their school! They sang him a song to welcome him into the room.
Jack: "I want a gun and bullets and legos."
Mom: "He wants a NERF gun and NERF bullets, just to be clear."
Lucy ran away screaming but allowed me to hold her for a group picture.
Wonderful day!
Catching up- snow day
Christmas tree lighting and my little fashionista.
Our first snow day of the season was met with excitement, but as with most snow days, ended in exhausted tears.
Rock climbing
I was brave and tried rock climbing. I was not terrible and did not have any PTSD of never climbing the rope in gym. Win!

NYC
A small group of friends and I went to NYC for two days. We had a fabulous time! We reveled in our short break as mothers and remembered that we were people first. We had great fun and adventures and really enjoyed taking care of ourselves.
These are fried balls of rice and cheese. I tried something similar in Rome and I made all the girls try the NYC version with me. They did not disappoint!
Shopping at Macy's.
Followed by an early dinner at Max Brenner's chocolate bar. So very delicious.
Then we went to see the Rockefeller tree, which was from Danville this year! This was before it was finished so it was under scaffolding.
We went to NYC the second weekend in November when all the decorations are going up with none of the crowds, best time to go!
Friday night we had tickets to Once and Saturday morning a few of us got tickets to see the Christmas spectacular at radio city music hall. It really is spectacular.
Here we are in front of the Swarovski crystal star for the top of the tree (before it went ON the tree).
So many crystals!
Then I fulfilled a long time dream of eating dessert at Serendipity. The dessert was delicious, better to share with others. I was disappointed by the frozen hot chocolate, but loved all the other desserts.
I think we waited in the cold (outside) for over an hour, but all agreed it was worth it, despite the cold and our exhaustion.
I happened to capture this selfie with a heart light around my eye.
It was a fantastic weekend. We were all grateful to our husbands for keeping our babies so we could remember that we're still people.
