Halloween Parade

I'm a few posts behind, but I'm going to work backwards. Tonight was the Danville Halloween parade, which is a BIG deal here and a fun tradition. 6 years ago I was in the hospital with newborn baby Jack while Jim and Lilly went to the Halloween parade. Can't believe we've been here almost 7 years!

Every year we line our chairs up in front of a friends house and everyone from our church gathers to watch together.

Best of all- uncle Oliver stopped by for about an hour. (Note Lilly's candy organization.)

Fun night!

Walk in the woods

We took a walk in the woods on a Sunday afternoon a few weeks ago.  Already the weather has changed and the shorts have been put away.

Week in review

Fall is here and so is Lucy's dress up phase. I love this phase. Every day is a different dress and talk of Tiaras.

Our teachers have been set to strike today since July. Mercifully, an agreement was made and the strike had been postponed until the next board meeting. The kids went to school today! Hope is in the air that the strike will be cancelled completely.

Princess movie days.

Happenings

Jack had his first official sick day from kindergarten. He's feeling better and we are healthy! Lucy was happy to have her buddy around for a day.

Lilly brainstormed this Lego hairstyle for crazy hair day.

I just found this picture on the school website. Lilly was a winner last year for a dental hygiene poster contest.

Cute kids!

Conference weekend

Jim decided to craft and project with the children this weekend during our semi annual General conference for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

First up, crayon cupcakes.

I didn't get an after picture. The crayons melted down and then after they cooled, they harden into one giant cupcake shaped crayon.

My friend shared her relatives Lego general conference scene, which I sent to my sister. My sister in turn built her own master piece which in turn inspired Jim and my children to create their own LDS conference set up.

Jack started it all by building a podium.

It was a fun weekend of spiritual edification and Lego achievements. I should make it clear that I don't have anything to do with Lego creations- my brain doesn't work that way. I am just supportive.

Quick week in review

Cute Jack at the bus stop and visiting Lilly at her school and book fair.

Kids had off Thursday and Friday off from school for the fair. They each had a play date.

Fun week!
