Lucy turned 5 months but those pictures went missing and then she turned 6 months. She is an adorably fat baby with a sweet temperament. She rolls around a lot and is starting to make distance across the floor (by rolling), she can also do baby push-ups (video coming soon).
Since her 5 month pictures were lost on my computer I have lost motivation to keep up with the monthly picture comparison, the motivation may return, it's doubtful.
At her 6 month check up she weighed 16.2 lbs which put her in the 50th percentile. I have no memory but I am pretty sure none of my other children weighed that much at this age. I am almost positive that no one has been in the 50th percentile. She is in the 10th percentile for height which makes her adorably chubby with lots of leg rolls. Her head is in the 85th percentile which they say means she has lots of brains.
Jack really enjoys Lucy and tries to get in the picture with her regularly.
She is a sweet baby and we all adore her. The only time in recent weeks that she has been really upset was last week when she had her first ear infection. Poor baby (but seriously, poor me). Jack is in a no shirt kind of phase, he still prefers to "wear his tummy."

Lap top coma
My computer stopped working for almost two weeks, luckily I ordered a new battery (thanks to the recommendation of my sister) and all is restored, for now!
But I am so far behind in my pictures...Lucy turned 5 months and then 6 months and then Jack turned 4 and then there was Halloween.
My Lucy baby is one sweet girl. She is so calm and a very happy baby, although I believe she is teething this week so she is not as happy.
Lucy sucks her thumb and it is pretty adorable. I also read that it is perfectly normal for babies to suck their thumbs at this age and that it causes no harm to their gums or teeth at this age.

If you think I spend my days kissing her face, then you would be right (as much as she lets me).

Labor Day
While Jim was in New Hampshire hiking Mt. Washington with his brother and my Dad, I decided to make a last minute getaway to Massachusetts to visit with some cousins.
It was a great time. I love to go up there and visit with family. The beach is a pretty nice perk too.

Cousins: Lilly (7), Abbey (6.99), Sage (4), Jack (3), Sydney (3), Sam (4)
These two girls are as giggly and fun when they get together as the picture appears.
Jim and John made it back from Jim's birthday hiking adventure for a day at the beach.
Brothers: John, Jim, Ed
My children love the beach and the ocean like I do, which brings me great joy.

California
Almost 2 months ago I was able to visit my sister in California. We had a great time! I have to post pictures from that, but in the mean time here are some pictures she took of Lucy while we were there. I have these pictures because she took them, uploaded them, edited them, and then emailed them to me. I still have all my pictures on my SD card and phone.
Her eyes really are THAT blue.

Jared
Our nephew, Jared, was killed in a car accident last Saturday, September 7th. This broke our hearts and our hearts will be broken for awhile. Due to the kindness of friends and family we were able to leave for 6 days to drive to Missouri for the funeral. More importantly we were able to spend time with the Lane family and hear great stories about Jared and share in their sorrow. Jared was so loved by many, we estimated 400-500 people came through for the viewing. I was so grateful to be in attendance to honor Jared and his family and to love and hug the Lane family.
I took pictures with permission from the family. They wanted this day to be documented. I want the Lane family to see who stood beside them. We stood by them, people showed up by the hundreds for Jared. We witnessed and we loved. We were there. So many were there.

I have more pictures to share, but that is all for now. I also need to post more pictures from earlier in the month. We love the Lane family, we love Jared, always and forever, no matter what.
