Blizzard of 2016

January 23, 2016 we got 14 inches of snow.  It's the most snow we have personally seen in Danville. It was so exciting for all of us! I pulled out my camera and ventured outside for a few minutes.

More phone updates

Typical winter, colds, ear infections and some not so typical events. Lucy's first successful dentist appt., Jack winning the dynamite award, and Lilly slicing her finger open and needing stitches in the ER. (Don't scroll down if pictures of stitches and bloody thumbs upset you.)

10!

Lilly turned 10 on January 23, and had a fun party the following week. Cupcake Wars! Lilly and 12 of her closest friends came and ahd cupcake decorating challenges. The girls had a blast and we all survived the party! We love our Lilly girl.

Christmas 2015

(I hate posting Christmas in February! Oh well! I also found I still have one decoration up in my basement.)

2016

2016 marks 8 years since I first started this blog.  Social media has changed blogging, and it is not really the main way to post pictures and stories anymore.  I'm not giving up though, it's the only successful way I've completed any sort of journaling for me or my family.  While the posts may be sporadic, I'm not giving up! I somehow lost a bunch of pictures from my phone, so I'm just moving on.  We've only had one significant snow storm - and it was great! We had over 14 inches of snow, which was so fun for the kids. My personal winter opinion is: if it's going to be cold there might as well be snow to enjoy!  This snowstorm happened on Lilly's 10th birthday.  As a result we had to cancel her party, which was devastating for her.  However, the party happened the following Saturday and all was happy.

Our neighbors came over to have cupcakes at the end of the snow day and put a smile on Lilly's face.  Grandma was there too to help with the party, but we didn't get any pictures!
