Utah!

I went to visit my brother and his family a few weeks ago. I was able to hold my new niece, Virginia, and hang out with Dantzel and Oliver.

I like to force babies to squish into my face, they eventually love it.

O and D live in a small town in southern Utah that is very high. I didn't know it was 7,000 feet- so I had some altitude sickness after my attempt to walk a few miles and exercise without acclimating.

Oliver likes it when I force him to take brother/sister selfies. Here is the blanket I knitted for Virginia. Isn't she sweet?

On the last day of my visit, Dantzel, took me to Arches national park. It was beautiful.

It was a great visit and I wish we didn't live so far apart!

Pics

The children are always happy like this.

Jim was able to come to Lilly's class for her author's tea and squish both the girls.

Lilly's third grade friends.

Chores.

Memorial Day and visit with Grandma

On Memorial Day weekend we were able to visit with my mom, but came back Sunday evening to Danville. Monday morning we were able to participate in our town commemorations. Phone pics.

We ran into some friends out for a walk and they joined us for the ceremonies.

We sat along the Susquehanna river as veterans performed a rifle salute and flowers were dropped in the river to honor soldiers killed and or buried at sea. Very touching.

Kids loved to see the soldiers marching and all the tanks. It was very hot- lilly was not unhappy. :)

Memorial Day BBQ

We had a church BBQ at a park in town that is also home to a newish skate ramp. Of course all the kids played on the skate ramp all night and miraculously no one was hurt.  But I did take a LOT of pictures.

More Funnastics

Video from the gymnastics show.  In case you can't tell, Lilly is the super adorable one in the front center row.

Funnastics

Lilly had her end of the year funnastics show last night. Her teacher does a fantastic job putting on a show. Each level puts together a routine of dance and tumbling in matching leotards. To say I was bursting with pride would be an understatement. I have video of the whole show and better pictures, but that will take me a few days.

That's Lilly with our neighbor, Cara. And here are some of the girls on stage waiting for the end of the year awards. Lilly is in there.

Happy Mother's Day. Don't my children look darling today? And they bought me a corsage. Happy Mother's Day to my wonderful mother. She's the one who taught me everything I know and I still call her for help.

Jack's school had a lovely Mother's Day program with cards, corsages, and homemade sticky buns. I need to figure out how to get the video loaded on windows 8. Side note- windows 8 is the worst!!

Lucy has had a rough patch these past few months, teething and various viruses have made her miserable on some days. Sometimes she just needs to be held. Jim was her choice yesterday and he read aloud to her from the science fiction novel he is reading and she really liked it. I love watching Jim be a wonderful father to my children.

Right now Lucy and Jack share a room, and bedtime just doesn't work. Jack falls asleep in my bed and then we transfer him to his bed. I love sleeping babies.

I can still convince Jack to cuddle while zoned out with TV.
