Jim's Birthday part 2

My friend Molly makes our birthday cakes.  I just need to over load you with cake pictures because I am in awe of her creativity and artistic abilities.  I just tell her a theme and she comes up with everything else. Everything on this cake is edible.

The children all fought over who could eat the boots. We ended up splitting them 4 ways.

First day of school!

2015-2016, 4th grade for Lilly and kindergarten for Jack.

I made Jim take a picture with the kids and one of me with the kids. Bad lighting and some blurry spots, but at least we'll have the memories!

Lucy packed her bags for school too.

She was so sad to be left out and personally offended that her siblings would get on the bus without her! Poor Lucy!

We went to lunch with some friends for Jim's birthday. They bought him this denim vest as a joke and he wore it for the rest of the day. 

They really know how to embarrass someone on their birthday at the hibachi grill 

My friend, Molly, made this amazing hiking cake for Jim. Those boots are made from fondant. I have more pictures from my camera to post later. 

Happy birthday, Jim! Definitely my favorite  holiday. 

Knoebels

We went to knoebels Friday night after the first two days of school. We were all exhausted! However, I will never get over living so close to an amusement park that we can enter for free. I love knoebels! We didn't get there until 7:30, so no pictures at the park. I did grab this one of every single one of them asleep in the car. That is a rare sight!

I forgot to explain to Jack that when he wakes up for school he has to get dressed, eat and leave. This was very upsetting for him when he couldn't play on his schedule. 

Our next door neighbors- the school crew is expanding this year. Poor Lucy tried to come too!

My poor Lucy was so sad to not go with her siblings, I had to cheer her up! I took her to meet some of HER friends at the open gym time at the gymnastics sports plex. I took Lilly there at this age, and then Jack, and now it's Lucy's turn. 

4th grade open house!

4th grader headed to Liberty Valley.

Her teacher this year is Mrs. Lowe. 4th grade changes classes three times a day, she will have 2 other teachers she sees during the day on her team.

4th grade has a garden they tend, how great is that?

We ran into our friends who moved in last year who just happen to have the same age kids as we do!
