Our neighbors came over to have cupcakes at the end of the snow day and put a smile on Lilly's face. Grandma was there too to help with the party, but we didn't get any pictures!

2016
2016 marks 8 years since I first started this blog. Social media has changed blogging, and it is not really the main way to post pictures and stories anymore. I'm not giving up though, it's the only successful way I've completed any sort of journaling for me or my family. While the posts may be sporadic, I'm not giving up! I somehow lost a bunch of pictures from my phone, so I'm just moving on. We've only had one significant snow storm - and it was great! We had over 14 inches of snow, which was so fun for the kids. My personal winter opinion is: if it's going to be cold there might as well be snow to enjoy! This snowstorm happened on Lilly's 10th birthday. As a result we had to cancel her party, which was devastating for her. However, the party happened the following Saturday and all was happy.

School Christmas parties
The morning of Jack and Lilly's school parties I came down with a stomach bug. Jim came to the rescue and made pancakes for 4th grade and put on inflatable reindeer antlers in kindergarten. He saved the day!
Side note- over 100 pictures went missing on my phone during a recent change to my phone. I'm trying not to panic.
I begged Jim to take pictures for me, and even though he hates selfies- he did it anyway!

Happy New Year
Happy new year! Here are my Halloween pictures I never posted. Jack as captain America, Lucy as CinderElsa, and Lilly as cat woman. They dumped all their candy together to share in one big pile. This is foreign to me.

End of October
The End of October is a hectic time around here. Jack's birthday and all the many Halloween celebrations. Lucy and I were able to go to Jack's school party and Lilly's party.

Halloween Parade
I'm a few posts behind, but I'm going to work backwards. Tonight was the Danville Halloween parade, which is a BIG deal here and a fun tradition. 6 years ago I was in the hospital with newborn baby Jack while Jim and Lilly went to the Halloween parade. Can't believe we've been here almost 7 years!
