Ta-tar

I bought a guitar today. I used to have a guitar but the pegs broke and I got rid of it several years ago. I decided it was time to take up the guitar again. It was a rather spontaneous purchase, but I feel that music is always a good investment. At the store Lilly cried because she wanted her own 'ta-tar,' I was too excited by new purchase to be embarassed in the store by the yelling of my child.

I came home to practice the 4 chords I already knew and to learn some new ones. Lilly documented me ignoring, or enriching, my children with my guitar skills (however you look at it). I ignored my laundry and looked up guitar tabs to "Hey there Delilah" and other music.

I am teaching a childrens music class this fall and hope to play some of the songs for the class on the guitar. If not, I am sure the children will like "Hey there Delilah." Feel free to pass on any guitar tips, skills, etc.

I think that is awesome! I wish you were just down the street, I'd love to have you teach Katie piano, though she would be so excited about the guitar. She wanted one a year or two ago at Christmas and was terribly disappointed that mommy had no idea how to play.

AWESOME! My only advice is not to let your friend Liz play your guitar because she will probably break your strings. Kidding, of course. I think that only happens when your cheap guitar has been sitting near a cold window all day. Be sure to post a video of you playing Hey There, Delila.

Johnny will love this!! You and Johnny have the guitar in common! can't wait to make you learn songs to play for me. You should order Lilly the little $20 guitar I got Johnny, they come in every color.
I love the picture and I'm very impressed with Lilly's photography skills.
