Nov. 13
1. Cousins. We were able to get together with Jim's side of the family for lunch on Sunday.

This is only a fraction of the cousins, 21 in all, I think.
2. Sleeping in.   My family let me sleep in this morning. That should count for two gratitude points.
3. My car.  My car has over 200,000 miles and has been in the family for over 10 years. It still takes us everywhere we need to go, like family lunches.

Nov. 14
1. Family Home Evening.  I asked Lilly what she thought we could do for Family Home Evening Monday night.  Last week did not go well and I thought if I had her input we might have more success.  This is what she said: "Lets make paper airplanes and decorate them. Play with cars, decorate, and really rock this place out."
2.  Garbage disposal.  Pennsylvanians, in general, do not believe in garbage disposals. They don't use them and they don't install them in homes.  I went 7 months without a garbage disposal three years ago and it was enough to make me grateful for them forever.
3. John.  My brother in law, John, installed my garbage disposal in my current home. Otherwise we would have used paper plates every day, so really the enviornment is grateful to John as well.

Nov. 15
1. Washing machine.  Our washing machine survived the flood. I am so grateful for this machine, because, seriously, I am not washing clothes by hand.
2. Hugs from my children.  This might be my favorite part of motherhood. I usually have to beg for hugs, but when they are given freely it is my greatest joy.
3.  Work and home.  I work three part time jobs, but for the most part I can be with my children during the day.  I teach 17 piano lessons, 4 music classes, and work one shift a week at our community center. It's a hard schedule to keep with little ones, but I am grateful for all the blessings that the schedule gives me.

Nov. 16
1. Health insurance. I am so grateful for health insurance that pays for a good portion of our medical bills.
2. Crafting time.  Lilly and I spent the afternoon making projects with my cricut. The afternoon flew by.
3. Breaks.  I live for breaks, naps, and more breaks.

Nov. 17
1. A Box.  I gave my kids a box to play with. They both laughed and ignored me.  This morning Jack discovered the joys of a box.

2.  Phones.  Since I was a very young child I have loved talking on the phone. Still do.
3.  Scriptures.  Because I have read stories about Christ, I know that it is better for me to love my enemies then to spend my time hating them. I am pretty sure without scriptures and the gospel, I would be a natural hater.
4. Blender. I know this post is appliance heavy, but I use my appliances a lot. I make a protein shake or smoothie every day with the blender I received as a wedding gift. 8 years later and it's still going strong. (I am pretty superstitious, so I hope that all my appliances don't break after I praised them in this post).

I was surprised at the garbage disposal situation here as well! One of the first things we did when we bought our house was to install one. The rental we lived in didn't have one and it drove me crazy!
