The Danville Primary School had their first annual talent show this week. It was a show of over 120 acts that had to be spread out over multiple assemblies during a two day period. My neighbor ran the entire show and enlisted me to help out on the second day of assemblies. As a result I got to be front and center, and mostly backstage to help with the talent show.
Lilly participated in two acts. She played her piano recital piece and joined in a group dance. Despite the fact that the school was built in 2011, they own a piano that was built in 1911 (just a guess) with sticking keys. The kids had a hard time using the piano, but Lilly did fantastic considering two different G keys decided not to work during her piece.
Advantage to volunteering, I got pictures backstage and front stage. I also had my video camera and regular camera with a friend helping me to extra document the event.
My neighbor also put together a dance act for Lilly to participate in with her daughter and some other second graders. This was by far one of the best performances of the day, and I am not at all biased.
Lilly is in the yellow shirt and striped skirt. Let's just say there is hula-hooping, jump roping, dancing, and sign holding. It's an exciting number.
Great job Danville Primary School!

Cutest talent act ever!!
So cute - and I'm proud of Lilly for being so brave to be on stage, and to keep up with the bigger girls. So much talent in one child! And I'm proud of her mom for being such an involved parent.
She is so cute! I love her dance routine. I'm very impressed.
ADORABLE! She looks so tiny next to all those older girls. That's a super cute routine.
Never 112 acts in an elementary school talent show. Never.
