Jack's preschool Halloween party was moved to Thursday because schools were closed due to the storm. Just when you think Halloween will be over on October 31, it is extended by another day!
However, once he warmed up to the idea of candy he had a great time with his friends.
On Friday, November 2, I finally declared Halloween over. I was sick with a sinus infection and we were all suffering from serious candy overload, so I made homemade bread bowls with homemade broccoli-cheddar soup.
The children were really excited about the breadbowls but equally disappointed by the "vegetable soup." Lilly gagged down a few bites with great drama and Jack refused to eat anything. Nonetheless, Jim and I enjoyed the soup. This is the story of my life, there are a handful of meals that everyone will eat. Yet, I persevere!
Because of the time change we had a very pleasant Sunday morning getting ready to leave for church by 8:30. Everyone was dressed and ready to go by 8:15, a first in recent memory. However, Jack was sorely disappointed to learn that he could not wear his baseball cap to church.
After church no one wanted to take a nap so we all gathered to watch The Sound of Music. Only Lilly and I made it through the end of the film.

I love all the pictures! I'm glad Halloween finally ended, it did seem like it went on forever in Danville.
The bread bowls and soup look very tasty - I want some! Cute kids - your Halloween seemed to last a really long time. Hope you're feeling better.
