Holiday Fun

My sister has inspired me to recap my holidays (I used some of her pictures).

We started with a trip to my Dad's house on the 22.  We reunited with Brian, Jessamyn, Johnny, and of course my dad.

We hung out around the house, watched movies and ate candy.  That evening my dad took us (minus children!) to La Bergerie, a delicious French restaurant.

Christmas morning Lilly was greeted with a pillow pet unicorn from Santa and Jack found a drum filled with instruments, also from Santa.

We had an old timey piano party/sing along in our PJs(with those willing to participate).

Christmas afternoon we went to visit my mom and Scott.  Sadly no pictures were taken while we were there.  We got awesome presents and had delicious Christmas dinner!  The visit was too short.

We traveled back to PA (that's for you Aunt Pat) to have the Pitcavage family Christmas party.   Jack was sick and actually fell asleep on the floor. I also did not take any pictures, these are from my sister in law.

Lilly with some of her cousins.

More presents, food, and cookies galore.  It was quite the eventful Christmas!

Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen

No hair, day 2

I spent the first three years of Lilly's life telling people she was a girl.  You see, she had no hair for a really long time.  Now it looks like we are back to square 1. Mission: make sure everyone knows Lilly is a girl.

It is very distressing.  In terms of life and death, illness, and tragedy, this is clearly no big deal. In terms of normal life stuff, this is a big deal! My poor little girl chopped off her hair that took her YEARS to grow.

I put some magnetic earrings on her, and I am considering piercing her ears to really drive home the girl thing.

Hair Cut

Remember how it took Lilly almost 5 years to grow the little hair she had?

It's amazing how fast tiny hands can work to erase 5 years of hair growth.

She did have the decency to throw the hair away.
I am doing my best to not freak out.
