Halloween time is now Jacks birthday

Halloween seems to be a time of change for our family. Lilly's first Halloween we had just moved to Chapel Hill and were readjusting to student life.  Her second Halloween I found out I was pregnant, although 12 weeks into the pregnancy it ended in miscarriage.  The following Halloween we were living in temporary housing waiting to make the big move to Pennsylvania the next week. Halloween symbolized the end of our time in NC and the beginning of a new life (with lots of packing). Last Halloween we welcomed Jack to our family and now he is about to turn 1.  This is monumental for me.  I had two miscarriages before Jack came along and once he did come it was a long post partum road to get me to his birthday.  This Halloween the only major change is my baby growing up too fast.

Halloween has become a momentous time for me and will always be special now that we have Jack to celebrate!
Eat an extra reese's cup for me and trick or treat your hearts out.

So glad you have something wonderful to celebrate this year. Happy B-day, Jack! You are cute and squishy. (That message was for Jack, not Liz.) Reece's always remind me of you.

So many fun birthday parties to come... all involving pumpkins and as Martha would say, "that's a good thing."
