I read a lot of craft blogs. Many of these talented bloggers have decorated their children's rooms like the pottery barn catalog; I wish my rooms were decorated like the pottery barn.
I started thinking that I don't have time to decorate their rooms, I barely have time to take care of them! Then I realized that I do have time, I just don't spend it decorating their rooms.
I spend my spare time knitting (for example this cowl), reading, music classes, working out and crafting.
I could probably spend more time and creative effort decorating their rooms.
When I am rich I will decorate their rooms like the pottery barn. I wont need to be creative because I will have money and I will just buy everything from the catalog. By that time rolls around I will probably have grandchildren.
I guess in the mean time I will need to be a little more creative for the sake of my children and their sad little rooms.
Lilly took a picture of me wearing my new cowl. Fresh off the needles.

LOL! I'm bitter too... I want to get Johnny big kid furniture and phase out the nursery stuff, but I don't have the man power. I envision myself just taking an axe to everything and chopping the furniture into tiny pieces that I can just put in garbage bags... I think I will do that.
I love your cowl. Please stop having better crafts and pictures than me.
I LOVE this picture of you and the cowl...very, very cool! :)
LOL
Too bad your children don't have a rich grandma.
Love the cowl. Tell Lilly I am proud of her camera skills.
What's more important? Decorating your kids' rooms or being their mom? And the cowl is beautiful!
haha, oh liz you make me laugh.
that cowl is darling. You are so so talented- I envy your knitting ability more than you know, maybe some day I'll gain the patience to sit down and really learn. Heaven knows my grandma has tried to teach me.
And on that note, I am absolutely in love with the Owl rattle you sent. It's adorable and what a wonderful surprise to get in the mail!! Lucky me!! You are so thoughtful and sweet Liz! I hope you got my christmas card/thank you note in the mail saying how much I love it!
